PSG secures convincing 6-2 victory against Montpellier with Mbappe’s hat-trick

MONTPELLIER: In a thrilling display of dominance, Paris St Germain clinched a resounding 6-2 victory against Montpellier on Sunday in Ligue 1 action. The match marked PSG’s much-needed return to winning ways in the league after a series of three winless outings.
Kylian Mbappe stole the spotlight once again, notching his second hat-trick of the season in Ligue 1. The French superstar showcased his brilliance in his 200th league appearance for PSG. In the 14th minute, Mbappe set up Vitinha with a precise cross, leading to the opening goal. Vitinha masterfully navigated past defenders before slotting the ball into the net.
Mbappe continued his stellar performance, completing his hat-trick with a sublime finish from Vitinha’s lofted through ball. This milestone marked his 250th goal for PSG across all competitions, further solidifying his status as one of the club’s all-time greats. The hat-trick also propelled Mbappe’s league tally for the season to an impressive 24 goals from 24 appearances.
