PSG reclaims top spot in Ligue 1

PARIS: Paris Saint-Germain moved back to the top of Ligue 1 with a commanding 3-1 home victory over Brest on Saturday, thanks to a brace from Ousmane Dembélé and a stunning strike from Fabian Ruiz. The reigning champions secured their fourth consecutive win, bringing their points tally to a perfect 12, two points ahead of Olympique de Marseille and AS Monaco.

Dembélé and Ruiz were the heroes of the match, with both scoring in an electrifying 80-second spell late in the second half. Their quickfire goals gave PSG the edge after a competitive contest, helping them maintain their flawless start to the season.

“Brest are a good team, with some very good players. It’s always difficult against them. It’s a good feeling to win in front of our fans,” PSG coach Luis Enrique said to DAZN after the match.
