Ooredoo renews sponsorship agreement with QSL

Doha: Qatar’s telecommunications giant Ooredoo renewed their partnership with the Qatar Stars League (QSL), by which the company will continue to sponsor the Ooredoo Cup tournament in the 2023-24 season.

The sponsorship renewal was announced at a press conference held on Monday at the Ooredoo headquarters, with the participation of Mr. Thani Al Malki, Chief Business Officer at Ooredoo, and Mr. Hassan Rabiah Al Kuwari, Executive Director of Sales, Marketing and Communications at QSL. A number of officials and representatives of both entities were also in attendance.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Al Malki said, “We’re proud to announce the renewal of our sponsorship of Ooredoo Cup and we’re pleased to co-operate with QSL, as we look forward together to take joint steps that contribute to shape a promising future for football in Qatar. There’s no doubt that this co-operation highlights our continuous commitment towards supporting and developing local sports and encouraging athletes to brilliant achievements in order to be a source of inspiration for all youth in our society, thus making it a successful and honorable model for Qatar football.”

On his part, Mr. Al Kuwari said, “In continuation of the distinguished relationship and co-operation with one of the major global telecommunications companies, we’re pleased to announce the renewal of partnership agreement with Ooredoo to sponsor the Ooredoo Cup. In addition to the sponsorship contract, there’ll be joint work to launch a number of initiatives to promote and support the Expo Stars League, and we affirm our aspiration to enhance our co-operation for the benefit of the tournament. In this regard, I would also like to thank and appreciate the Board of Directors and all staff of Ooredoo company for their continuous support for the championship and professional football in Qatar.”
