Hojlund calls for patience as Manchester United adapt to Amorim’s system

PLZEN,Czech Republic: Manchester United striker Rasmus Højlund has urged for patience as the team adjusts to newly appointed manager Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-3 system. Speaking after scoring both goals in United’s 2-1 comeback victory over Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League on Thursday, Højlund emphasized that the squad needs more time to perfect the formation.

“We still need more time. It’s still very early days,” the 21-year-old told TNT Sports.

The Denmark international, who has previously expressed how Amorim’s tactical approach aligns with his strengths, has been prolific in the Europa League this season, netting five goals in six appearances. Despite struggling with challenging weather conditions in Plzen, Højlund led a second-half resurgence that secured United’s place in the top eight of the competition, inching them closer to direct qualification for the round of 16.
