France overcomes early deficit to win 3-2 against Chile

MARSEILLE, France: France demonstrated resilience as they emerged victorious against Chile in a thrilling encounter at the Stade Velodrome.
Despite conceding an early goal, Les Bleus rallied with goals from Youssouf Fofana, Randal Kolo Muani, and Oliver Giroud. Fofana’s equalizer in the 18th minute set the tone for France’s comeback, followed by Kolo Muani’s header and Giroud’s decisive strike, further solidifying his status as France’s all-time leading scorer.
Although Chile managed to narrow the margin with Dario Osorio’s late goal, they couldn’t halt France’s triumph, marking their first defeat under new coach Ricardo Gareca.(Reuters)
