Europa League: United and Spurs set to face off in all-English final

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur will meet in an all-English Europa League final after both sides secured convincing aggregate wins in their respective semifinals on Thursday, setting up a title showdown in Bilbao.
At Old Trafford, United overcame a shaky start against Athletic Bilbao, who briefly threatened a comeback after Mikel Jauregizar opened the scoring in the 31st minute to cut the aggregate deficit to 3-1. United found their rhythm in the second half, with Mason Mount easing nerves with a composed finish in the 72nd minute. Casemiro followed with a header before Rasmus Højlund tapped in a third, and Mount added a late long-range strike to seal a 4-1 win on the night, and a 7-1 aggregate result.
Over in Norway, Tottenham calmly saw off Bodø/Glimt 2-0 in their second leg, securing a 5-1 win on aggregate. Dominic Solanke broke the deadlock after the break before Pedro Porro added another to put the result beyond doubt.
The result means Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs remain in the hunt for their first silverware in 17 years — and the Australian manager could continue his pattern of lifting a trophy in his second season at every club he’s managed.
United and Spurs will now clash for the Europa League title at San Mamés Stadium in Bilbao.
