Al Sadd unveil new signings ahead of 2025–2026 season

Al Sadd SC unveiled their latest signings during a press conference as part of their strong preparations for the 2025–2026 football season, which kicks off on Sunday with a clash against Morocco’s Wydad for the Ahrar Cup at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
The Qatari champions have secured the services of Brazilian star Roberto Firmino from Al Ahli Saudi, young Spanish midfielder Pau Prim from Barcelona, and Uruguayan Agustín Soria.
Firmino expressed his delight at joining Al Zaeem, praising the atmosphere at the club and the warm welcome he received. “I’m happy to be in Qatar. I thank everyone who made my move to Al Sadd possible. I’m here to help the team win titles, not to chase personal records,” he said, adding that the squad’s aim is to fight for every trophy, including the AFC Champions League.
Pau Prim described his move as a new adventure: “I’m very happy to be here. I’ll do everything I can to achieve the best results and win titles. Everyone welcomed me as the youngest foreign player, and I’m grateful for that.”
Soria, meanwhile, said he was ready for the challenge: “This is a big change in my life, and I thank you for the warm welcome. I know the responsibility of playing for a club with such great midfield legends, and I will do my utmost to help the team achieve the best results.”
