Aspire Wonderland Festival wows visitors from first day
Doha, Qatar: Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) kicked off a mind-blowing festival on Tuesday, titled; Aspire Wonderland Festival and saw tremendous success as 5,000 visitors flocked Aspire Park to watch animated fantasy characters depicted using state-of-the-art lighting techniques.
On Tuesday, an imaginary gateway to the world of fantasy and folk tales was open to the public with innovative light techniques.
Commenting on the Aspire Wonderland Festival, Tahani Khalifa Al Suwaidi, a member of the organising committee of the festival, said: “We seek innovative and creative angles when organising community events at Aspire to ensure a memorable experience. Our interest in the smallest details begins when choosing artistic shows that suit all age groups. A few weeks ago, we celebrated the Aspire International Kite Festival and now we have added a new and distinctive event to the country’s agenda of entertainment and tourism activities.”
Audiences will have the opportunity to enjoy the dancing fountain shows again on March 27 and 28 at 5 pm, 6.40 pm, 7.40 pm, 8.40 pm, 9.40 pm, and 10.40 pm. There will also be additional weekend shows at 11.40 pm on Friday and Saturday.
The festival is sponsored by Vodafone Qatar and Katara and is scheduled to last until the 30th of March, with an open invitation to the public daily from 5 pm to 10 pm.
