Aspire Embassies Futsal Tournament to start on Thursday

Doha, Qatar: Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) held a technical meeting in preparation for the third edition of the Aspire Embassies Futsal Tournament that starts at the Ladies Sports Hall on Thursday.
The nine a side tournament, which ends on April 27, will have teams comprising heads of diplomatic missions from each embassy.
The participating embassies were divided into four groups. Group A comprises Jordan, India, Mali, and Syria, Group B has South Africa, Eretria and Bosnia; Spain, Japan, Azerbaijan and Oman constitute Group C while Portugal, Djibouti, France and a team representing Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar will play in Group D.
The tournament will start on Thursday with a match between Jordan and India at 5 pm, followed by a Syria-Male clash at 6. Iraq take on South Africa at 7 while Bosnia play Eritrea at 8.
The tournament, which grew out of the popular mini Aspire Ramadan Festival edition in 2015, is an opportunity for diplomats and representatives of the embassies to take a break from their typical work setting and experience an electrifying environment that combines activity and entertainment.
