Aspire Embassies Futsal tournament from April 4

Doha, Qatar: Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) are all set for the third edition of the Aspire Embassies Futsal Tournament that is jointly organised with Qatar’s Ministry of foreign affairs.

The tournament is scheduled to be held from April 4 to 27 on Thursdays and Saturdays of every week at the Ladies sports hall.

The tournament will feature 16 diplomatic teams of embassies in the State of Qatar, representing countries like: Azerbaijan, Bosnia, Djibouti, Eretria, Oman, France, India, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Mali, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Syria and a team representing Qatar that will include members from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

The tournament, which arose from the mini Aspire Ramadan Festival edition in 2015, is an opportunity for diplomats and representatives of the embassies to escape their typical work setting and experience an electrifying environment that combines fun and entertainment.

Director of Events and Venues at AZF, Abdullah Aman Al Khater, said: “The previous editions of the tournament have received great recognition from participants who attended with high spirits in a prevailed competitive ambience. After the tremendous success of the previous editions, 2019’s edition comes in with 16 embassies and diplomatic representatives with confirmed participation. The exquisiteness of the tournament provides a way for diplomats to communicate with one another away from their usual formality.”
