Aspire Academy hosts parents meeting for all grades

DOHA: Aspire Academy hosted the first parents meeting for the 2019-2020 academic year for all grades on Tuesday.

Aspire Academy Deputy Director General, Ali Salem Afifa, emphasized on the school’s commitment to both sporting and academic excellence and told the parents that Aspire acknowledges the important role they play in the development of their sons.

“You are playing a key role in the development and holistic education of your sons and we value your commitment. At Aspire, we are keen to not only reinforce education and sport, but to build personalities. Qatar football team that won the Asian Cup in January despite the difficult challenges and a hostile terrain showed the values that we teach at Aspire and we are very proud of this team and what they achieved and how they did so,” said Ali Salem.

The event was attended by Academy directors, teachers and coaches and during the evening, representatives of the Sport, Football, Aspire Health Centre and Education and Student Affairs departments took the stage to give an overview of the programmes and take questions from the parents on their respective departmental matters.

“This is the first of many parent-teacher meetings that we have planned for this year, since we believe strongly in working very closely with parents to support the academic and athletic development of our students. This year we have embarked on some programmes aimed at re-enforcing positive behaviour in our students based on the mantra of three R’s, respect, responsibility and readiness”, said School Principal Jassem Mohammed Al Jaber.
