Qatar Equestrian Tour-Longines Hathab: Al Qahtani, Al Nuaimi secure victories on 2nd day

DOHA: The excitement of the Qatar Equestrian Tour Longines Hathab continued on Friday evening, as top riders showcased their skills in the ninth round of the prestigious competition.
Organized by the Qatar Equestrian Federation in partnership with Al Shaqab, the eighth edition of the Longines Hathab Tour featured thrilling amateur and intermediate rounds.
Champions Emerge in the Amateur and Intermediate Rounds
In the amateur category, contested at a height of 100 cm, Faisal Mohammed Al Nuaimi secured victory with a remarkable time of 21.76 seconds aboard Dilandra.
Yousef Abdulrahman Al Muftah claimed second place with a time of 23.54 seconds on Croat, while Abdullah Ahmed Al Khulaifi finished third in 25.23 seconds riding Tulipards. The top three finishers were honored by Ahmed Jaber Al Mulla, a member of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Equestrian Federation.
The intermediate round, featuring obstacles ranging from 130 to 135 cm, was fiercely competitive. Al Fardan team emerged victorious in the team category, while Al Shaqab team secured second place, and Lekhwiya team took third.
In the individual competition of the intermediate round, Fares Al Qahtani clinched the top spot with a winning time of 31.46 seconds on Cavalina. Mohammed Abdullah Jumaa secured second place with a time of 32.39 seconds riding Higolita, while Rashid Tuwaim Al Marri finished third with a time of 33.09 seconds on Navarone.
The winners were crowned by Sheikh Ahmad bin Nooh Al Thani Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Hathab Championship.
A Premier Equestrian Championship in Qatar
The Qatar Equestrian Tour Longines Hathab, a marquee event in the country’s equestrian calendar, features 14 rounds held at the Qatar Equestrian Federation’s arenas and the Longines Arenas at Al Shaqab.
The championship provides a high-level platform for riders to hone their skills and compete at an elite level, further enhancing Qatar’s equestrian sports landscape.
With each round bringing new excitement and top-tier competition, the Longines Hathab Tour continues to solidify its reputation as one of Qatar’s premier equestrian events.
