Laffan leads strong field for Al Rayyan Cup at Deauville

PARIS: The stage is set for Tuesday’s edition of the Al Rayyan Cup (Prix Kesberoy), a prestigious Group 1 PA race for three-year-old Purebred Arabians over 2,000 metres at Deauville, France.
A compact but high-quality field of five has been declared, with the spotlight firmly on the unbeaten colt Laffan, representing Al Wasmiyah Racing. Trained for greatness from the start, Laffan will be guided by top French jockey Maxime Guyon as he looks to extend his flawless record.
Adding depth to the race are Al Shaqab Racing’s two talented homebred fillies. Amjaad, already twice Group-placed, teams up with regular rider Faleh Bughenaim, while promising newcomer Subahiyah, an impressive debut winner, will have Christophe Soumillon in the irons.
With proven performers and rising stars in the mix, the Al Rayyan Cup promises to deliver a thrilling contest on the Deauville turf.(QNA)
