Overall level of competition high
QATAR Hejen Racing Committee President Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Faisal Al Thani said the sport was steadily growing in popularity in the country.
“It was one of the most amazing seasons as there was unprecedented participation. The overall level of competition was higher. We gave away a lot more prizes this time. We’re very happy and proud to see the steady growth of hejen racing in Qatar. It makes us really happy to promote and popularise the sport, which is linked to our country’s history and tradition,” said Sheikh Hamad.
The official thanked the Emir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for his support.
“The overwhelming success of this season was possible due to the great support provided by HH the Emir, who also found time amid his busy schedule to turn up at the Challenge Festival on the opening day. I also thank HE Sheikh Al Qaqa bin Hamad Al Thani, who graced the closing ceremony and awarded the winners,” said Sheikh Hamad, who congratulated the winners.
