Nasser to drive Toyota Hilux Evo at Dakar

Two-time Dakar Rally winner Nasser Saleh Al Attiyah of Qatar will race for Toyota in the 2017 edition in the brand new two-wheel drive Hilux Evo, the Japanese carmaker said last week.

The 2011 and 2015 winner of the main car category came second in 2016 with Toyota and with the same co-pilot who is scheduled for the upcoming race, Frenchman Matthieu Baumel.

Nasser is a highly experienced rally driver and is hoping to join the world rally circuit with Toyota next season as they make a return to that discipline in 2017.
