Holders Arabi keep winning

CHAMPIONS Al Arabi maintained their clean sheet in the Qatar League with a 25-21, 25-14, 25-15 win against Al Shamal.

Arabi thus recorded six wins from as many games and they remain the only unbeaten side in the competiton.

Seasoned campaigner Ibrahim Saeed and Brazilian professional Leandro Vissotto played stellar roles in Arabi’s triumph with power-packed smashes against their opponent. 

Setter Seif Lemjid also played his role to perfection.

Former champions Al Rayyan defeated Al Sadd 25-22, 25-21, 25-21.

Rayyan were in a slump following back-to-back losses to Qatar SC and Al Ahli, but it looks as though they have regrouped quickly as the win against Sadd came after a straight-set victory against formidable Police in the last round.

In other action, El Jaish beat Al Khor 25-17, 25-21, 25-22 and Ahli bt Qatar SC 25-20, 25-20, 28-30, 25-18. DSP
