Qatar’s Cherif  Younousse and Ahmed Tijan lose in Xiamen Open semis

Xiamen, China: Qatar’s Cherif  Younousse and Ahmed Tijan lost in the semifinals of the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Xiamen Open on Saturday.

Younousse and Tijan had been in impressive form in the tournament Xiamen beating the likes of Alison Cerutti and Álvaro Filho, Piotr Kantor and Bartosz Losiak and Aleksandrs Samoilovs Janis Smedins en route to the last four, but they could get going against Pablo Herrera and Adrian Gavira, losing 17-21, 17-21.

Spaniards Herrera and Gavira will now meet Oleg Stoyanovskiy & Viacheslav Krasilnikov in the final after the Russians beat Italians Enrico Rossi and Adrian Ignacio Carambula Raurich 21-14, 21-19 in the last four.
