Satwik-Chirag edge past Indonesian pair to reach China Open quarterfinals

BEIJING: India’s top men’s doubles pair, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, stormed into the quarterfinals of the China Open Super 1000 badminton tournament with a straight-game victory over Indonesia’s Leo Rolly Carnando and Bagas Maulana on Thursday.
In a tightly-contested battle, the former world number one Indian duo held their nerve to secure a 21-19, 21-19 win against the eighth-seeded Indonesians. The match was a test of tactical discipline and resilience, with momentum swinging frequently on both sides.
