Bellingham’s brace fires England past Norway into semifinals

MIAMI: Jude Bellingham starred with a match-winning brace as England edged past Norway 2-1 after extra time to book their place in the FIFA World Cup 2026 semifinals.
Norway struck first in the 36th minute through a stunning long-range effort from Andreas Schjelderup, but Bellingham restored parity just before halftime with a composed finish.
With the contest deadlocked at 1-1 after 90 minutes, England found the breakthrough early in extra time. Morgan Rogers’ powerful effort was spilled by goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland, allowing Bellingham to pounce on the rebound and score the decisive winner in front of a packed crowd at Miami Stadium.
The victory sends England into the World Cup semifinals for the fourth time, where they will face the winner of the Argentina vs Switzerland quarterfinal.
