Three Qataris named among match officials

DOHA: Qatar’s FIFA-badge holder Abdulrahman Al Jassim along with assistant referees Saoud Ahmed AL Maqaleh and Taleb Al Marri are among the officials named by FIFA Referees Committee on Thursday to officiate at the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2019.

The tournament starts here on December 11.

Five refereeing trios and one support referee will officiate the matches.

FIFA has also selected six more match officials to operate as video assistant referees (VARs) during the tournament.

All of the selected match officials will complete their final preparations in Qatar a few days before the first match kicks off.
